Having a well-maintained lawn takes more than just cutting the grass.

EnvyUs has you covered in all the areas you may have forgotten about.

De-Thatching

Thatch is a normal part of a healthy lawn. It is simply a layer of dead organic matter that accumulates on the surface of your lawn. It’s made up of things like dead grass clippings, roots, and other debris.

If your thatch grows too thick, grass roots may not be able to penetrate, and the roots will grow entirely within the thatch layer. This leaves them vulnerable to both drought and overwatering or any other form of stress.

The best times to de-thatch your lawn is early Spring & early Fall.

Aerating

Heavy recreational use, active pets, foot traffic and even lawnmowers can compact the soil under your lawn. That disrupts root growth and can lead to thatch and even bald areas.

Lawn aeration consists of punching holes in your lawn’s surface, reducing surface compaction and allowing air to penetrate the ground. These holes also create a path for water and fertilizer to easily reach the root zone beneath the turf, helping ensure a thick & lush lawn.

Aeration can be done at any time, but is most effective in early Spring & early Fall.

Over-Seeding

Is your lawn looking a little patchy, brown, or otherwise lackluster?

If so, overseeding may be a great option for you!

Overseeding is adding new grass seed over your already existing turf—without turning the soil. By overseeding a lawn, you can thicken grass density, introduce enhanced varieties of grass to your lawn’s microclimate, and improve the color to an ideal lush green.

Overseeding is more effective when paired with Aeration, and even better...De-Thatching as well.

The best times to overseed is Early Spring & Early Fall.
